Thermopile monitors gas pilot flame to ensure pilot is burning.
Thermopile closes off gas to gas valve if it detects a loss of pilot flame.
Turn off gas supply to the water heater before replacing part.
Fits 301 or 401 Series Liquid Propane standard models with Honeywell gas control valves only.
